We spend a lot of time crafting our living spaces – often with the focus on the sitting room – where we expect to hang out with our families, watching tv with our feet up. But in truth, it’s the kitchen where we spend the lion’s share of our time. Perhaps these habits are formed in our early years – pre-school, primary school or high school – where the call of the fridge, oven-baked cookies, or the lure of the bacon roll meant that the kitchen was the first port of call when we got home. And sometimes we just stayed there.
For all of these reasons, the kitchen is the heart of the home at every stage of life. What better way to start a new year than to focus on the heart of the home?
